The efficiency of forest management is evaluated by objective standards in order to strengthen professionalism and trust.
The KFCC is a third party certification scheme by which sustainable forest management is evaluated from the environmental
and socio-economical perspectives. There are two categories of certification: Forest Management (FM) certification and
Chain of Custody CoC) for the production and distribution of forest products.
Forest Management certifications confirms whether
forest is being managed in a way that preserves
the natural ecosystem and benefits the lives of local people
and workers, while ensuring it sustains economically viability.
Contributing to sustainable forest management.
Chain of Custody certification verifies that KFCC-certified
material has been identified and separated from non-certified
and non-controlled material as it makes its way along
the supply chain all the way through.
The Korean Industrial Standard (KS) allows a factory which is able to manufacture its products sustainably and stably
above the industrial standard specified by Korean government to use the KS mark after passing the evaluation conducted
by a certification agency.
